Assassins 16U Claims Victory Over NJ Velocity 18U

Assassins 16U opened up scoring in the first inning, when Madison Ruta threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Assassins 16U.

NJ Velocity 18U 18U knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning. Kathryn Martin drove in one when Martin singled.

Assassins 16U pulled away for good with one run in the second inning. In the second Grace Cutler’s sac fly scored one run for Assassins 16U.

Tatumn Menzies earned the win for Assassins 16U. The righty went four and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on four hits. Rae Portadin threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Ruta toed the rubber for NJ Velocity 18U 18U. The pitcher allowed five hits and four runs over three innings, striking out three and walking zero. Alexa Basile threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Assassins 16U launched one home run on the day. Lily Nucera had a four bagger in the third inning.

Assassins 16U saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Nucera, Amelia Rebadavia, and Sophia Centanni each managed multiple hits for Assassins 16U. Centanni, Rebadavia, and Nucera all had two hits to lead Assassins 16U. Assassins 16U didn’t commit a single error in the field. Braylie LaFisca had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
