Assassins 16U Defeats NJ Stars Fastpitch 16U in a Blow-Out Victory

Assassins 16U won big over NJ Stars Fastpitch 16U 12-1 on Saturday.

NJ Stars Fastpitch 16U opened up scoring in the first inning. Jane Littleton tripled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the first inning, Assassins 16U tied things up at one. Assassins 16U scored one run when Taylor Lalla singled.

Assassins 16U pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Katie Mulry singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, Tatumn Menzies singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, an error scored two runs for Assassins 16U, and Braylie LaFisca singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Assassins 16U scored six runs in the third inning. Lalla, Hayden Bauer, Amelia Rebadavia, Menzies, and Grace Cutler all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Menzies was the winning pitcher for Assassins 16U. Menzies allowed one hit and one run over three innings, walking one. Rae Portadin threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.

Mariella Spina led things off on the rubber for NJ Stars Fastpitch 16U. Spina surrendered five runs on six hits over one inning, striking out one and walking zero. #22 and Lily Cunningham entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.

Assassins 16U totaled 14 hits in the game. Sophia Centanni, Lalla, and Rebadavia all managed multiple hits for Assassins 16U. Rebadavia, Lalla, and Centanni each collected two hits to lead Assassins 16U. Assassins 16U was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Rebadavia made the most plays with six.

Littleton led NJ Stars Fastpitch 16U with one hit in one at bats.
