First Inning Plays Key Role in Jersey Assassins 16U Blow Out Over Carribean Heat

Jersey Assassins 16U scored nine runs in the first on its way to a 13-2 victory over Carribean Heat on Sunday.  Jersey Assassins 16U batters contributing to the big inning included Taylor Lalla, Brooke Bauer, Braylie LaFisca, Kylie Elefante, Katie Mulry, and  Lily Nucera, all driving in runs in the inning.


Jersey Assassins 16U opened up scoring in the first inning, when Lalla singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.


Tatumn Menzies was the winning pitcher for Jersey Assassins 16U. The righthander went five innings, allowing two runs on seven hits, striking out seven and walking zero.


jayden was in the pitcher’s circle for Carribean Heat. The hurler allowed five hits and nine runs over one inning, striking out one.  jalena threw three innings in relief.


Jersey Assassins 16U racked up nine hits.  Sophia Centanni and Elefante each racked up multiple hits for Jersey Assassins 16U.  Elefante and Centanni all had two hits to lead Jersey Assassins 16U.  Jersey Assassins 16U didn’t commit a single error in the field. Bauer had  six chances in the field, the most on the team.  Jersey Assassins 16U stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Bauer led the way with two.


Carribean Heat was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. jalena made the most plays with  one.
